跟親愛(ài)的同學(xué)們，咱們又見(jiàn)面了。

前幾天帶領(lǐng)大家一起分析了時(shí)間前面介詞at/on/in的用法區(qū)別，今天John老師今天給大家?guī)?lái)的是：in/within/after/for+一段時(shí)間的區(qū)別。

（1）in+一段時(shí)間

英文解釋：

something will happen exactly two days from now 從現(xiàn)在開(kāi)始的兩天

on the thirdday counting from the current day，即從當(dāng)天開(kāi)始算的第三天，不算當(dāng)天的第二天

In other words, if today is Monday and someone says something will happen ’in two days,’ you would expect it to happen on Wednesday.

換句話說(shuō)，如果今天是星期一，那么in two days就是星期三。

They’ll get back to you in five days. 他們會(huì)在第五天回復(fù)你。

（2）within+一段時(shí)間

英文介紹：

“within two days” means the event/action will occur anytime between now (when the sentence is said/written) and the point in the future which is 48 hours after the sentence is uttered.

within two days意思是從現(xiàn)在開(kāi)始的兩天內(nèi)的任意時(shí)間

如果今天是星期一，那么within two days就是從星期二到星期三這兩天內(nèi)的任意一個(gè)時(shí)間。

They’ll get back to you within five days.他們會(huì)在五天內(nèi)回復(fù)你。

（3）after+一段時(shí)間

英文介紹：

after two days：something will happen after a period of two days has passed.

如果今天是星期一，那么after two days就是過(guò)了星期二到星期三這兩天后的時(shí)間，可能是星期四或者星期五，星期四的概率大一些。

They’ll get back to youafterfive days.他們會(huì)在五天后回復(fù)你。

（4）for+一段時(shí)間

英文介紹：

’for two days’ refers to a duration of time lasting two days. It indicates that something happens continuously or repeatedly over a period of two days.

for two days指持續(xù)了兩天的時(shí)間。它表示某件事情在兩天內(nèi)連續(xù)或重復(fù)發(fā)生。

如果今天是星期一，那么for two days指從周六的某個(gè)時(shí)間到周日再到周一持續(xù)了兩整天以上。

（4）區(qū)別與區(qū)分

within+一段時(shí)間，表示在這段時(shí)間之內(nèi)，無(wú)法準(zhǔn)確確定具體時(shí)間

after+一段時(shí)間，表示在這段時(shí)間之外，無(wú)法準(zhǔn)確確定具體時(shí)間

for+一段時(shí)間，表示持續(xù)了這段時(shí)間，無(wú)法準(zhǔn)確確定具體開(kāi)始和結(jié)束時(shí)間

按照我們?nèi)粘＝涣鲬T例，我們?cè)陬A(yù)估某個(gè)時(shí)間的時(shí)候，無(wú)法做到100%精確，所以in+一段時(shí)間，表示在這段時(shí)間的前后一點(diǎn)，不會(huì)差太多。

如果差太多，①少太多的話，就用within；②多太多的話，就用after。

It is usually used to meanjustbeforethe end of that period of time orjust afterthe end of that period of time.

簡(jiǎn)化總結(jié)為：

winthin+一段時(shí)間，表示＜這段時(shí)間

after+一段時(shí)間，表示＞這段時(shí)間

for+一段時(shí)間，表示持續(xù)了這段時(shí)間

舉例分析：

I’ll be back in ten minutes. 我將會(huì)過(guò)十分鐘左右回來(lái)。(可能是10分鐘或者9分鐘/11分鐘，但不會(huì)差10分鐘太多)

This means that I will return just before ten minutes have passed or just after ten minutes have passed. It could also mean “exactly when ten minutes have passed”.

I’ll be back within ten minutes.我將會(huì)在十分鐘內(nèi)回來(lái)。(可能是6分鐘/7分鐘/8分鐘/9分鐘，但不會(huì)超過(guò)10分鐘)

I’ll be back afterten minutes.我將會(huì)在十分鐘后回來(lái)。(可能是11分鐘/12分鐘/13分鐘/14分鐘，但不會(huì)少于10分鐘)

I’ll be there forten minutes.我將會(huì)在那兒待十分鐘。(時(shí)間長(zhǎng)度達(dá)到10分鐘)

（5）最后的話

通常來(lái)說(shuō)，在日常的交流中：

①如果表達(dá)從現(xiàn)在開(kāi)始算起(from now on)未來(lái)的一段時(shí)間，基本上用in+段時(shí)間;

②如果強(qiáng)調(diào)必須在多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間內(nèi)完成某事，給deadline的話，那么通常使用within+段時(shí)間;

③如果強(qiáng)調(diào)一件事結(jié)束后，又過(guò)了多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，則用after+段時(shí)間；

④如果強(qiáng)調(diào)一件事持續(xù)了一段時(shí)間，則用for+段時(shí)間。
