懷孕的各種委婉表達(dá)

在英文里“懷孕了”不能直接說：

• I have a baby. 

正確的說法是：

• I m having a baby.

其他委婉表達(dá)：

an accident

'Baby accident '有意外懷孕的意思，相當(dāng)于“unplanned pregnancy”

She had a little accident In the last year of the university.

大四的時(shí)候，她意外懷孕了。

in trouble

表面意思是“惹上麻煩事”，一般用于未婚女子意外懷孕

I'm telling a secret to you that I m 'in trouble'.

我告訴你一個(gè)秘密，我懷孕了。

knock up

精疲力盡的意思，被整垮，有冒犯的意思 慎用

She was knocked up by her ex.

她被前任弄懷孕了。

in an interesting condition/situation/ state

把女性懷孕描寫成一個(gè)有趣的狀態(tài)

My best friend is in an interesting condition.

我最好的朋友懷孕了。

in a certain/particular/delicate condition

女性懷孕期間可以形容是“某一特殊狀況”，“微妙、脆弱的身體狀況”

Your mother said you are in a certain condition, right?

你媽媽說你現(xiàn)在懷孕了，對(duì)嗎？

eating for two

一人吃兩個(gè)人的分量，暗示懷孕了

After honeymoon, she is eating for two.

度蜜月回來她就懷孕了。

lady-in-waiting/expecting/anticipating

內(nèi)心充滿期待的女子，暗示一個(gè)等待新生寶寶出生，即將分娩的準(zhǔn)媽媽

She is expecting, you know that?

in a bad shape

身材臃腫、欠佳，暗指懷孕

 She had a little accident, and she's in a bad shape.

她發(fā)生了一點(diǎn)意外，她懷孕了。

with child

“with”表伴隨狀態(tài)

She is gone 5 months with child.

她懷孕5個(gè)月了。

其他有關(guān)懷孕的表達(dá)：awkward（行動(dòng)不便）；in a (the) family way（家常打扮）；a mother-to-be（即將成為媽媽）；to have one on the way （有人要來）；well-along（心滿意足）
