謂語用單數(shù)還是復數(shù)？

一、表示“許多、大量”的詞組分類與區(qū)別如下：

1、只能修飾可數(shù)名詞的詞語有:
many,  many a(n),   a good / great many,  a (great / large) number of,  scores of,   dozens of等。

2、只能修飾不可數(shù)名詞的詞語有:
much,   a great deal of,  a great / large amount of,  great / large amounts of
3、既能修飾可數(shù)名詞又能修飾不可數(shù)名詞的詞語有:
a lot of,lots of,plenty of(以上三個詞語后謂語動詞的單、復數(shù)依of 后的名詞的單、復數(shù)而定),

a great / large quantity of (其后謂語依of 后的名詞的單、復數(shù)而定),

quantities of (其后謂語用復數(shù))。

A number of our classmates love English.

1、a large quantity of +可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語看of后名詞的具體情況而采用單數(shù)或復數(shù)形式

a..如果是接不可數(shù)名詞，則謂語用單數(shù)形式；

b.如果是接復數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，則謂語通常要采用復數(shù)形式（※偶而接單數(shù)式謂語，屬非規(guī)范用法，宜慎用。）

2、quantities of+可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語都要用復數(shù)

 The number of our classmates is 45.

quantities of 后既可接復數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，亦可接不可數(shù)名詞,后面的謂語都用復數(shù)形式。

many a（很多） ；more than one（比…多/不只一個）(加基數(shù)詞one）

1.many a 或more than one +可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)，謂語用單數(shù)

2.more+復數(shù)名詞+than  one結構之后，謂語動詞一般用復數(shù)形式。

3.more than one 直接作主語時，謂語用復數(shù)

例：More than one are there  不止一個人在那里

Many a woman has great influence on her husband許多女人對丈夫有很大影響

Many a student studies English

More than one student studies English

1、a large quantity of +可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語看of后名詞的具體情況而采用單數(shù)或復數(shù)形式

a..如果是接不可數(shù)名詞，則謂語用單數(shù)形式；

b.如果是接復數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，則謂語通常要采用復數(shù)形式（※偶而接單數(shù)式謂語，屬非規(guī)范用法，宜慎用。）

2、quantities of+可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語都要用復數(shù)

a large/great amount of ＋不可數(shù)名詞，作主語時,謂語動詞一般用單數(shù)

quantities of 后既可接復數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，亦可接不可數(shù)名詞,后面的謂語都用復數(shù)形式。

One and a half apples is on the table

large/great amounts of ＋不可數(shù)名詞，作主語時，謂語動詞要用復數(shù)。
A large amount of(A great deal of)damage was done in a very short time.
Large amounts of money were spent on the bridge。

巧記kind句型的謂語：以of為分界線，謂語隨of前的單詞的單、復數(shù)變化

1、this kind of book ═ a book of this kind （這種書），其謂語動詞用單數(shù)；

2、this kind of books═ books of this kind═ these kind of books（口語）（這類書）

3、all/these kinds of books各種各樣的書

但this kind of books作主語時，謂語動詞用單數(shù)；

books of this kind 和these kind of books作主語時，謂語動詞用復數(shù)；

all/these kinds of 后跟復數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞用復數(shù)形式。如：
This kind of books is very popular with young people.  這類書很受年輕人歡迎。
Books of this kind are very popular with young people. 這類書很受年輕人歡迎。
These kind of parties are dangerous.                    這類政黨很危險。
All kinds of flowers have come out in the valley.     山谷里各種各樣的花已競相開放。

4、this  kind  of  men謂語動詞與kind一致，用單數(shù)形式;

5、men  of  this  kind謂語動詞與men一致，用復數(shù)形式；

6、these kind of men的謂語動詞用復數(shù)

7、all kinds of后跟復數(shù)名詞，謂語動詞用復數(shù)形式

Men  of  this  kind  are  dangerous.
