And what’s happening? 我希望這個故事的結(jié)局是好的。那又發(fā)生了什么呢? Let’s go straight to the dialogue then. 我們直接來聽對話。 「對話文本」 「重要發(fā)音技巧」 Welcome back. Let’s look at some useful tips that help you improve your English pronunciation. 歡迎回來。我們來看一些能幫助你提升英語發(fā)音的技巧。 1. 連讀:don’t you 對話中: Don’t you understand? 連讀分析: 兩個單詞相鄰時,前一個單詞詞尾是音標(biāo)/t/,后一個單詞開頭是音標(biāo)/j/,/t/+/j/=/t?/,/t?/發(fā)音時,舌尖貼到口腔上壁;這個音標(biāo)跟中國China /?t?a?n?/中的Ch/?t?/的發(fā)音是一樣的;所以這里的don’t you /d??nt ju?/ , 可以讀為/d??nt?u?/。 復(fù)述: Don't you understand? 2. 插入音:how are 對話中: How are you! 插入音: 當(dāng)一個單詞是元音結(jié)尾,接下來的單詞是元音開頭時,就會有一個插入音,比如/w/,它可以幫助一個音自然流動到另一個音。 Steven媽媽說的這句“How are you!”中的how和are就是使用了插入音/w/。How /ha?/結(jié)尾是元音/a?/,are開頭是元音/ɑ?/,這時可以加入一個插入音/w/, 這個音發(fā)音時,嘴巴嘟成一個圓形,發(fā)音時聲帶振動。加入/w/之后,how are就可以讀為/ha?wɑ? r/。 復(fù)述: How are you! 「核心單詞掌握」 OK, all right. Let's look at some interesting vocabulary here. 好的,我們來看一些有趣的詞匯。 Let’s start with the first word “pine”. 我們從第一個單詞開始“pine”。 1. pine /pa?n/ v. 渴望,思念 Steven’s brother said “She’s still pining after you.” Steven的哥哥說到“她仍然對你念念不忘。” Pine has many different meanings. Pine有很多不同的含義。 In this sentence, it’s a way of saying you want someone very much, but you don’t have them. 在這句話里面,是在說,你非常想得到這個人,但是你沒有。 還有一個比較常見的短語是: pine for sb. 苦苦思念某人 Tom is still pining for his ex-girlfriend. Tom還在苦苦思念他的前女友。 Our second word is “incorrigible”. 我們第二個單詞是“incorrigible”。 2. incorrigible /?n?k??r?d??bl/ adj. 不可救藥的,難以改正的 Basically, it means someone’s feelings, their emotions or ideas, they can’t be changed or altered. 基本上,表示某人的感覺,情緒或者想法,它們是不能改變或者改動的。 And they have no correction. 他/她們沒有任何改正的行動。 Dialogue里面,Steven哥哥說的這一句話 “You are incorrigible.” 是非常常見的表達(dá),當(dāng)你想要表示某人無可救藥/屢教不改的時候,就可以用這一句。 Okay, our last word for today“scared”. 好的,我們今天最后一個單詞“scared”。 3. scared /skerd/adj. 害怕的 When you are scared, you are in a state of fear or panic. 當(dāng)你是scared時,你是處在一種害怕或者驚慌的狀態(tài)里。 當(dāng)你想表達(dá)“害怕某事”時,可以用scared of sth. (be) scared of snakes 怕蛇 如果是“害怕做某事”呢,可以用scared of doing sth. I am scared of going out alone. 我害怕一個人外出。 「實用口語表達(dá)」 Okay, so, we looked at some great vocabulary and now we can look at some great phrases. 好的,我們剛才學(xué)了一些很棒的詞匯,現(xiàn)在我們來學(xué)習(xí)一些很棒的短語。 Today we have five great phrases. 今天我們會學(xué)習(xí)5個非常棒的短語。 The first one is “sb’s pride and joy”. 第一個短語是“sb’s pride and joy”。 1. sb’s pride and joy 令某人驕傲和快樂的人/事物 Sb’s pride and joy, which means someone or something makes someone very proud and pleased. Sb’s pride and joy就是表示某人或者某事物讓某人很驕傲和很開心。 For example, I’m my mother’s pride and joy. 我是我媽媽的驕傲和快樂。 And our next phrase is “What’s new with you?” 我們下一個短語是“What’s new with you?” 2. What’s new with you? 你好嗎?怎么樣? It’s a nice, very relaxed way of asking someone for news in their life, and it is often between friends and family members. 這是一種很好的,輕松的詢問對方生活動態(tài)的方式,經(jīng)常使用在朋友和家人之間。 那當(dāng)別人問我們:What’s new with you? 怎么樣? We can say “Not much, what’s new with you?” 我們可以回答說“沒什么新鮮事兒,你呢?“ Or we can also say “I got married/I got a new job. What’s new with you?” 或者我們也可以這樣來說“我結(jié)婚了/我找到了一份新工作。你呢?“ Moving on to our third phrase “be expecting (a baby/child)” . 我們第三個短語是“be expecting (a baby/child)”。 3. be expecting (a baby/child) 懷孕 這個短語在使用的時候經(jīng)常會省略a baby/child, 比如I’m expecting。 I’m expecting, it’s a very common English way of saying I’m having a baby, I’m pregnant. “I’m expecting”是英語表達(dá)里常見的表示“我要生孩子了,我懷孕了”的意思。 Let me give you another example. 我再來舉個例子。 Zoe is expecting a baby in August. Zoe八月份要生寶寶了。 And the fourth phrase we have is “get over sb.”. 我們第四個短語是“get over sb.”。 4. get over sb. 從(疾病或令人不愉快的事情)中恢復(fù)過來 If I get over someone, I have to stop feeling so sad about what happen. It also, kind of, means you have to forget, letting that person go. 如果我要get over someone, 我不得不停止對所發(fā)生的事情感到難過。 這個短語表示你需要忘記這個人,讓那個人離開。 Okay,I’ll give you an example. 我來舉個例子。 Oh, Anna, it's just a crush. You'll get over Peter soon enough. 噢,Anna, 就是一場短暫的熱戀。你很快就會忘記Peter的。 Okay, our last phrase for today “go through with”。 好的,我們今天最后一個短語 “go through with”。 5. go through with 完成,把……進(jìn)行到底 Steven said “I couldn’t go through with it.” Steven說過“我沒辦法喜歡她。” So he couldn’t complete it or finish something he started it. 所以他沒法結(jié)束或者完成他開始的一些事情。 In this case, we are talking about the relationship or marriage. 在這里,我們討論的就是關(guān)于一段關(guān)系或者婚姻。 For example, maybe we love each other, but I couldn’t go through with it. I couldn’t go to the finish line. 比如,或許我們愛著彼此,但是我沒法繼續(xù)走下去。我不能走到終點線。 Now, it's time for us to review what we've learned today. 現(xiàn)在我們來回顧一下今天所學(xué)習(xí)的內(nèi)容,一起思考起來。 「今日所學(xué)回顧」 1. 發(fā)音重點: 2. 單詞重點: 3. 表達(dá)重點: Alright, that's all for today. Thanks for coming. Hope you enjoy today's lesson. Have a nice day there! |
