「晨讀音頻」

Hello English learners! Welcome back to my channel. I’m Reevs. Good morning!

大家好,歡迎來到懶人英語晨讀欄目,我是Reevs,早上好呀。

And today I’m bringing you the third part of this series that we’ve created, called “I’m Sorry, I Love You”.

今天我?guī)淼氖俏覀冎谱鬟^的對不起,我愛你系列的第三部分。

It’s a romantic series, but today I’m bringing you an argument.

這是一個(gè)浪漫的系列,但今天給你帶來了一個(gè)爭吵。

In today’s lesson, you’ll learn some great language that people use when they get into an argument with their boyfriend or girlfriend.

在今天的課程中,你將學(xué)習(xí)一些人們在與他們的男朋友或女朋友發(fā)生爭執(zhí)時(shí)使用的語言。

Now, we’re gonna listen to our dialogue.

現(xiàn)在,我們來聽一下對話。

「對話文本」

A: Steven! Where have you been? I’ve been trying to get a hold of you for hours!

你去哪兒了?Steven! 我這幾個(gè)小時(shí)一直在打電話聯(lián)系你!Steven!

B: I... um... there was an emergency at work, so...

我……額……工作上有緊急情況,所以……

A: I was waiting for you in the restaurant for three hours! And you didn’t even have the decency to call me! Do you have any idea how embarrassed I was?
我在餐廳等了你三小時(shí)!你甚至都沒有想到給我打個(gè)電話!你可知道我有多么尷尬?

B: Honey, I promise this won’t happen again, it’s just that I...

親愛的,我保證這種情況不會再發(fā)生,我只是……

A: Yeah, right. I’ve heard it all before. I’m not going to take any more of your empty promises. This is the 5th time you’ve stood me up in two weeks! You need to get your priorities straight. I’m tired of you putting your job first all the time!

好,對,這些話我以前全都聽過了。我不會再相信你的空頭承諾了。這是你兩周內(nèi)第五次放我鴿子了!你需要把你個(gè)人事情的輕重緩急分清楚。我厭倦了你一直把工作放在第一位。

B: Come on, Ronica, that’s not fair. I do care about you a lot, you know that. I tried to ...

別這樣,Ronica, 這不公平。我是非常在乎你的,這你是知道的。我盡力……

A: You know what? Maybe we should just take a break. I need some time to think about where this relationship is heading.

你知道嗎?或許我們應(yīng)該分開一段時(shí)間。我需要一些時(shí)間去思考這段感情的發(fā)展。

B: But...Ronica, would you listen to me? There was a fire alarm at my office building today and I was stuck...

但是…… Ronica, 你能聽我下嗎?今天我的辦公大樓發(fā)生火警警報(bào),我被困在里面……

「重要發(fā)音技巧」

Welcome back. I’ll teach you some important pronunciation tips.

歡迎回來。我會來教同學(xué)們一些重要的發(fā)音技巧。

1. 失爆+連讀: won’t happen, happen again

對話中:I promise this won’t happen again.

I promise this won’t happen again.

2. 失爆+連讀+FlapT just that, that I

對話中:It’s just that I...

失爆分析:
當(dāng)兩個(gè)單詞相鄰時(shí),前一個(gè)單詞詞尾是爆破音,后一個(gè)單詞開頭是輔音的時(shí)候,這時(shí)前面的爆破音不發(fā)出聲音,稍作停頓。比如這里的just that /d??ste?t//t/為爆破音,/e/為輔音)。

連讀分析:
當(dāng)兩個(gè)單詞相鄰時(shí),前一個(gè)單詞詞尾是輔音,后一個(gè)單詞開頭是元音的時(shí)候,可以作輔元連讀。比如這里的that I /e?ta?/ (/t/是輔音,/ a?/是元音)。

Flap T
分析:
連讀基礎(chǔ)之上,/t/在兩個(gè)元音音標(biāo)之間且非重讀,所以/t/可以讀為一個(gè)很輕的/d/

復(fù)述:
It’s just that I...

「核心單詞掌握」

I saw some great words in the dialogue, so it’s time for our vocabulary. Today I’m bringing you three words.

我看到對話里有一些很棒的單詞,所以現(xiàn)在我們來講解一下詞匯。今天我們會來一起學(xué)習(xí)3個(gè)單詞。

The first word is “decency”.

第一個(gè)單詞就是 “decency”。

1. decency /?di?snsi/ n. 得體,合乎禮儀

It means polite or moral behavior.

它其實(shí)就是指禮貌或道德行為

dialogue里女主說:
And you didn’t even have the decency to call me!

你甚至都沒有想到給我打個(gè)電話。

短語搭配:

didn’t have the decency to do sth.

是指不得體,用來表示不滿

例如:

He didn't even have the decency to apologize.

他竟然沒有誠意道歉。

Our next word is “priority”.

我們的下一個(gè)單詞 “priority”

2. priority /pra????r?ti/ n.優(yōu)先事項(xiàng)(經(jīng)常使用復(fù)數(shù) priorities

So, priorities are something that’s really important in your life.

所以,優(yōu)先事項(xiàng)在你的生活中是非常重要的。

Like family or maybe work or making a lot of money.

就像家庭或者工作或者掙很多錢。

dialogue
里的女主說這一句表達(dá)很實(shí)用:

You need to get your priorities straight.

你需要把你個(gè)人事情的輕重緩急分清楚。

短語搭配:
first priority 頭等大事

Okay. And our last word for today “head”.

好了,我們今天最后一個(gè)單詞 “head”。

3. head /hed/ v. (某方向)行進(jìn)

Let’s listen to a couple of examples of how it’s used, so we can understand its meaning.

讓我們來聽幾個(gè)例子,看看它的用法,這樣我們就能理解它的意思了。

例如:

I don’t know where our relationship is heading.

我不知道我們的關(guān)系會往哪里發(fā)展。

Where’s this project heading?

這個(gè)項(xiàng)目的方向是什么?

So, basically heading means going.

所以這里面heading的基本意思是朝某方向走。

「實(shí)用口語表達(dá)」

Okay, I saw some great phrases in the dialogue that people use when they’re getting in a fight.

好了,我在對話中看到了一些很棒的短語,當(dāng)人們在爭執(zhí)的時(shí)候會使用的短語。

The first phrase that I wanna take a look at is “get a hold of”.

我今天要講的第一個(gè)短語是“get a hold of”

1. get a hold of... ……取得聯(lián)系

To get a hold of someone means to try and communicate with that person.

與某人取得聯(lián)系的意思是試著和那個(gè)人溝通。

So, to try and call that person.

所以試著打電話給那個(gè)人。

例如:

I’ve been calling his phone all day, but I can’t get a hold of him.

我打了他一天的電話,但是聯(lián)系不到他。

And our second phrase is “Do you have any idea?”

我們要講的第二個(gè)短語是 “Do you have any idea?”

2. Do you have any idea? 你有什么想法嗎?

This is a great way to set up an argument.

這是建立論點(diǎn)的好方法。

So, let’s listen to some examples of how you would set up an argument using this phrase.

那么,讓我們來聽一些例子,看看如何用這個(gè)短語來建立一個(gè)論點(diǎn)。

例如:

You forgot my birthday, do you have any idea how angry I am?

你忘了我的生日,你知道我有多生氣嗎?

I just broke up with my boyfriend. Don’t you have any idea how sad I am?

我剛和男朋友分手,你不知道我有多難過嗎?

So, it’s a great phrase to make that person understand that you’re really worried or really angry.

所以,這是一個(gè)很好的短語,可以讓那個(gè)人明白你真的很擔(dān)心,或者很生氣。

Okay, let’s move to our third phrase “stand me up”.

好的,我們現(xiàn)在來看第三個(gè)短語 “stand me up”。

3. stand me up 放我鴿子

dialogue里面用到的 “stood me up, stood 是單詞 stand 的過去分詞 (同時(shí) stood” 也是 stand 的過去式)。

The phrase stand someone up, when do we use this?

放我鴿子這個(gè)短語,我們什么時(shí)候使用?

For example, you have a date and you don’t go.

比如,你有約會,卻沒去。

So, let’s say Mary and Tom were supposed to have dinner together.

所以假設(shè)MaryTom本來約好一起吃飯的。

And Tom just didn’t come and didn’t call.

Tom就是沒來也沒有打電話。

Mary可以這樣說:

He stood me up.

他放我鴿子了。

And our last phrase for today “take a break”.

我們今天最后一個(gè)短語 “take a break”。

4. take a break 分開一下

So, when a couple takes a break, they sort of stop their relationship.

所以,當(dāng)一對情侶分開一下,他們是停止他們的關(guān)系。

They’re breaking up.

他們分手了。

They’re saying, “Let’s just take some time away from each other.”

他們說讓我們分開一段時(shí)間。

For a couple of days or weeks and see what happens.

分開幾天或者幾個(gè)星期, 看看會發(fā)生什么。

Okay, so, our happy couple in this dialogue is going to take a break.

好的,所以我們對話里這對快樂的情侶要分開一下。

Now, it's time for us to review what we've learned today.

現(xiàn)在我們來回顧一下今天所學(xué)習(xí)的,要跟上我一起來認(rèn)真回顧,思考起來。

「今日所學(xué)回顧」
