本課學習的是間接引語的用法。

本課側(cè)重學習的是當主句動詞為過去式時，作為賓語從句的間接引語中的謂語動詞的變化。一般情況下，間接引語中的謂語動詞要改為相應的過去時態(tài)。

（一）一般現(xiàn)在時改為一般過去時

當直接引語中的謂語動詞為一般現(xiàn)在時，轉(zhuǎn)為間接引語后，要改為一般過去時，如：

He said to Jane, 'I often get up at seven in the morning.'
He told Jane (that) he often got up at seven in the morning.

當直接引語中的謂語動詞采用一般現(xiàn)在時，但表將來時，轉(zhuǎn)為間接引語后，還是要改為一般過去時，如：

He said to Jane, 'I want to visit your school next week.'
He told Jane (that) he wanted to visit her school next week.

（二）現(xiàn)在進行時改為過去進行時

當直接引語中的謂語動詞為現(xiàn)在進行時，轉(zhuǎn)為間接引語后，要改為過去進行時，如：

He said to Jane, 'I am working in the garden.'
He told Jane (that) he was working in the garden.

【注意】

如果直接引語中含有表時間的now，一般要改為then，如：

He said to Jane, 'I am working in the garden now.'
He told Jane (that) he was working in the garden then.

（三）一般過去時改為過去完成時

當直接引語中的謂語動詞為一般過去時，轉(zhuǎn)為間接引語后，要改為過去完成時，如：

He said to Jane, 'I went to your school yesterday.'
He told Jane (that) he had gone to her school yesterday.

【注意】

如果直接引語中含有表過去的時間，一般要改為“... before”，如：

He said to Jane, 'I went to your school yesterday.'
He told Jane (that) he had gone to her school the day before.

再比如：

He said to Jane, 'I went to your school last week.'
He told Jane (that) he had gone to her school the week before.

（四）現(xiàn)在完成時改為過去完成時

當直接引語中的謂語動詞為現(xiàn)在完成時，轉(zhuǎn)為間接引語后，要改為過去完成時，如：

He said to Jane, 'I have been to France five times.'
He told Jane (that) he had been to France five times.

再比如：

He said to Jane, 'I have never read Mark Twain's novels.'
He told Jane (that) he had never read Mark Twain's novels.
