本次邀請大家一定要點(diǎn)進(jìn)來看看的“重要改版”，是這樣：

學(xué)前、小學(xué)、初中階段的英文圖書，往往以圖文混排為主。為了方便，很多圖書的PDF在制作的時候干脆放棄文字排版，純粹用圖片完成PDF的制作。這樣一來，想利用圖書里面的文字，就要費(fèi)一番周折了。

現(xiàn)在，我掌握了相關(guān)的技術(shù)手段——需要我付費(fèi)的，花了將近一天的時間，把今天分享給大家的252本童書當(dāng)中的169本，進(jìn)行了提取文字的處理。

就此，我決定，提取出來的文字（Word文檔），我要收點(diǎn)費(fèi)用，一是抵償我使用的軟件服務(wù)費(fèi)用，——我為此付費(fèi)開了年費(fèi)超級會員的！二也是抵償我付出的時間和精力，畢竟大半天時間，不是一兩分鐘。

今天給大家的分享，是252本精品彩繪英文童書。我大致翻閱了其中的十幾本，其中既有Richard Scarry的Busy系列，適用于學(xué)前、小學(xué)，也有A Cool Kid、A Little Slice of Happy這樣的略有難度、適合初中生閱讀的。

上文所說，其中有169本的PDF已經(jīng)提取了文字，另外有37本暫時無法提取文字，還有46本是純圖片格式，因?yàn)椴僮鲿r間實(shí)在太長，我就沒有提取文字。以上總共252本。

口說無憑，我們來看看A Cool Kid - Like Me這本書（圖片我僅選取了其中的幾張）：

A Cool Kid

This story is about a kid everyone thought was so terrific and so cool.

That kid was me.

I even brushed my teeth— most of the time.

And I had a few friends to play with.

My parents left me alone a lot. They thought I was a cool kid. But that was only on the outside. They didn't really know me.

Nobody knew what I was really like on the inside—except my grandma.

She wanted to know how I felt. "What's the matter?” she asked.

And I told her everything, like how scared I was without a night-light or how awful I felt when I dropped the ball.

I liked talking to Grandma. She was a good listener. And I could ask her all kinds of questions. Grandma was the only one I would let hug me.

One day she left for a long vacation. But before she went, she gave me a special present.

“Oh, no,” said my father. “He's too old for that! He's a big boy now!”

“I agree!” said my mother shaking her head. “He won't play with it. He’s already into computers.”

What a weird present for a cool kid, I thought.

“Nonsense!” replied Grandma. “Nobody is too old for a teddy! It will keep him company while I am away.”

Then I took another look at Teddy and decided that I liked him--except for the stupid ribbon, of course.

He was soft and cuddly and kind of fun to hold.

I took him with me when I was sure nobody could see him.

But when my mother cleaned my room, she put him away at the top of the closet.

“What was Grandma thinking! You’re too big for this!” she insisted.

But I took him down as soon as she left the room.

Grownups think it’s fun to be a kid. But it's not fun all the time. And that’s what I talked about with Teddy before we went to sleep. He was the only one who knew how I felt.

Teddy understood when I told him …

that I didn't like to be alone in the dark.?

Teddy knew I was scared that I would never have a best friend.

like me and would laugh behind my back.

I was scared that I’d be picked last at games...

or that my parents would chew me out in front of my friends.?

Teddy knew how I felt when my parents were fighting...or not talking to each other at all.

And Teddy knew I was scared that my mother would leave and never come back!

I know it was stupid, but sometimes I just could not help being scared.?

There were other secrets, too, that I could share with Teddy. It made us feel much better. Finally we would fall asleep.

In the morning things wouldn't look so bad.

I would get ready to be that cool kid again- the one everyone thought was so terrific.

I would be as cool as 1 could be.

Except, of course...

when Grandma came home again.

Boy was I happy!

On the outside and on the inside, too!

教學(xué)建議：

不管是什么年齡段，讓孩子、學(xué)生先看圖，并且通過問答，把圖畫看細(xì)、看透。這本身就是一種認(rèn)知、觀察能力的提高，即便不是為了后面閱讀的時候更好理解，也是有意義的。

和孩子一起讀的時候，要把文字和圖結(jié)合起來，讓孩子在腦海中建立基本的詞匯形象。

不要怕孩子讓我們重復(fù)給他們看某一本書。如果他們喜歡上了某一本，那這本書就是一個突破口，讓他反復(fù)看，這會成為他語言能力的基石。不要著急給孩子測試，讓他們反復(fù)看、喜歡怎么看就怎么看。

如果一本書已經(jīng)看了好多遍，孩子即便不往后翻也知道整體的情節(jié)，那么可以把圖遮蓋住，問問他某句話是什么意思。這是教會孩子如何從文字去理解故事，能夠?yàn)榻窈蟮奈淖珠喿x打好基礎(chǔ)。

不要干巴巴地說“我來考考你這本書能看懂多少”。建議跟孩子說，“我們來比賽一下，看看誰認(rèn)識的字多”，然后和孩子比賽，讓他們把圖畫遮住，考考你還知不知道某句話是什么意思。

總之，這套書不能直接丟給孩子，需要的是親子共讀，反復(fù)咀嚼。
