hard-working、 dilligent、industrious

         這組形容詞都可表示“勤奮的”意思。這三個(gè)詞都指對(duì)工作、學(xué)習(xí)、活動(dòng)的專心

和勤奮，意義區(qū)別不大，只是語(yǔ)氣的強(qiáng)弱而已。hard-working 非正式用詞，

diligent 正式用詞，industrious 語(yǔ)氣最強(qiáng)。

 1) I am sure that a hard-working person can always succeed in the work which he wants to do.

  （我確信一個(gè)苦干的人終能成功地做好他想要做的工作。）

2) If I had been more diligent at school and university I could have been a doctor or a lawyer.

  （倘若我在中學(xué)和大學(xué)更勤奮地學(xué)習(xí)的話，我可能已成為一名醫(yī)生或律師。）

3) Although he is not much of a diligent student, he always keeps his grades above the average.

    his own.

5) The new supervisor was so industrious that she never cleared her desk before the closing

time.

  （新主管很勤快,在下班之前總能見她在伏案工作。）
